Novell Thompson Elected VP
Novell Thompson has been elected tot he post of Vice President of Local 741. Thompson is a child care worker at the City run, Parsons Foundation Child Care Center. She is truly an union activist, brining in over 100 new members to 741 over the last few months. |

Homer Post for LACERS Pension Board
Brother Homer Post, President Of AFSCME Local 901is running hard to be the member's representative tot he LACERS Boad of Directors. Local 901 represent Recreation Supervisors. Homer has been a strong supporter of organizing Recreation and Parks Parttime workers. He believes that parttime workers should be welcomed into LACERS.
Homer has the endorsement of AFSCME, SEIU, and the Coailtion ofLos Angeles City Unions. He is also suported by long-time Board member Shelly Smith, pictured above. (For More on Homer click here)
