LA City Workers Represented by Council 36 Speak Out For a Better Way ForwardAFSCME Council 36 and other members of the Coalition of LA City Unions recently presented a 20-page report containing more than $100 million in revenue ideas and budget-balancing solutions for the City of Los Angeles to the City Budget and Finance Committee. A video of some of the testimony delivered on Friday, May 4, can be seen here. In previous years, Coalition members worked with City officials to save jobs and balance the budget by agreeing to make hundreds of millions in sacrifices. We appreciated the opportunity to present these latest revenue ideas to the budget committee to keep city services running for all Angelenos. |
