Finally our contract and MOU has been approved

For those that were not present at tonight's monthly general meeting, it was annouced that our contract was presented to the Board of Supervisors and has been approved on March 5th 2019.  What this means for the members' of Local 119 is pay raises will be applied and back paid all the way from October 1st of 2018.  The current cost of living raise that will be issued from October 2018 is 2%.  Local 119 members should be seeing this reflected on their payroll by the 30th of March.

In addition any special pay practices which were negotiated at the table between Local 119 delegates and County CAO, along with the management representatives from respective departments will also be applied and reflected.   For members that are worried, have questions about, or heard rumors in regards to the "Benefit/Fringe" package, rest assured that the County Coalition of Unions (CCU) which Local 119 has a delegate on is still striving to push for an equitable "Fringe/Benefit" package for all its represented members.  The CCU is not only advocating a "Fringe" package for what is fair but is equal to what the County has already offered and provided to another union that is not part of the CCU.  If there is any updated news regarding the "Fringe/Benefit" package it will be updated here on the site once it is reported back to our local.  Thanks for everyones' patience in this matter.
