This past weekend, AFSCME Local 3090 members Larry Gates and Adda Murillo, AFSCME Council 36 Business Representatives Luciana Giorgi and Lori Condinus, and AFSCME Local 741 member Patricia Robinson joined other Unions on a trip to Las Vegas to get out the vote for Presidential nominee Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz.
The event was hosted by the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor. There were approximately 75-100 volunteers that went door to door to get the message out to VOTE. Sunday morning, volunteers were joined by none other than “Walter White” himself, actor Bryan Cranston of the tv series “Breaking Bad” to share his views about electing Harris/Walz on Tuesday.
There are still plenty of opportunities to canvass and get out the vote for pro-labor candidates. Visit https://www.afscme36.org/gotv-activities-2024 for information about GOTV activities.
