AFSCME District Council 36 is looking to hire former members into part-time political phone banking positions!

This is an exciting opportunity to help elect union endorsed candidates throughout Southern California. We are hiring six part-time political phone bankers through November 3rd, 2020, at $15/hour for 20 hours a week.

The positions will be focused on remote phone banking and volunteer recruitment. Our priority is to hire members that have been laid off due to COVID-19, so please share with all affected members!

On September 12 at 10AM, Local 119 and Local 773 along with the City of Commerce will be hosting a drive-thru food distribution event for our fellow community members in need. They will be giving away groceries as well as a hot plate item. School supplies will also be given to households with a school-age child in attendance. After the event, we will hear from Local leaders and City officials via Zoom. Attached are the flyers for the event. One flyer is in Spanish and the other flyer is in English.
