LA County employees received a pay raise! Congratulations to our LA County members who are a part of Local 119, Local 148, Local 830, Local 1083, Local 1152, Local 1271, Local 1967, Local 2712, and Local 3511. They received a 2.5% pay raise effective October 1, 2020. This is just one of many successes that our bargaining team negotiated for on behalf of our members.

Since the beginning of this crisis, AFSCME has worked non-stop to identify  any and all alternatives to furloughs – because at the end of the day we don’t believe in furloughs, we believe in our ability to flex our union power and come up with ideas that will have the least negative impact on our hard-working members, who make this city happen!

We have a workers’ compensation webinar on October 15 at 6 PM via Zoom. It will cover two recently passed bills: SB1159 and AB685. Attached you will find the flyer for this event. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Joniesha@afscme36.org.
