The contributions of public service workers can often go unnoticed by their employers. However, on Oct. 1, the City of San Diego held an event to honor the hard-working employees that keep the City going.
AFSCME Local 127, which represents around 2,000 San Diego City employees, was out in full force at Saturday’s event. There was plenty of fun activities and delicious food for the entire family. There were potato sack races, hula hoop competitions, and bouncy houses, but the biggest hit of the event was the ice cream that AFSCME Local 127 provided to everyone in attendance.
